Stabbing at park in Aurora
An individual was stabbed Saturday night at a park on Aurora's west side but appears to have nonlife-threatening injuries, police say.
Lt. Rusty Sullivan said Aurora Police received a call around 8 p.m. that there was a fight in progress at Jaycee Park on the 500 block of North Park Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found that one individual had been stabbed.
Sullivan was unable to release the name, age or sex of the victim, or that of the attacker.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, but his injuries appeared to be nonlife-threatening, Sullivan said.
Police do not believe the fight was gang-related.
"Just a dispute that escalated to an unfortunate end," Sullivan said.
