Scouting: D.C. United @ Chicago Fire
When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Toyota Park, Bridgeview
TV: Fox Soccer Channel
Scouting D.C. United: United (6-5-11, 29 points) hasn't scored in its last two MLS games. The team could be worn down, due to a busy stretch that includes CONCACAF Champions League play, most recently Wednesday's game against Toluca. Forward Luciano Emilio (8 goals, 2 assists) is still a player to watch.
Scouting the Fire: The Fire (10-5-8, 38 points) wants to complete a busy stretch by building on the momentum of last week's thrilling come-from-behind victory. With a depleted roster the Fire will enjoy having two weeks to rest and heal before its next game. For now, though, coach Denis Hamlett has to find someone available to play on the back line.
Next game: at Real Salt Lake, Sept. 12.
