Arts panel needs help:

The Geneva Cultural Arts Commission has an opening on its nine-member board. It meets the first Thursday of each month and sponsors cultural art programs. Interested people must live in Geneva and understand budget process and procedures. An application is available at geneva.il.us. Include a cover letter with a summary of skills and interests. Dogs to help charity:

Bark for Life dog walk, to raise money for the American Cancer Society, is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sugar Grove Dog Park, Sugar Grove Sports Complex, 901 Wheeler Road. Cost is $25 in advance, $35 the day of the walk. To register, call (630) 879-9009 or visit barkforlifefoxvalley.com.

Mothers club invite:

Raffle for Marklund:

Marklund will have a raffle for a trip to Las Vegas, including airfare for two and a two-night stay at Tuscany Suites and Casino. Tickets are $100 each, and only 100 will be sold. The drawing will be at 6:30 p.m. at the 3rd Annual Battle of the Bands, which is from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Marklund Mill Creek, 1S450 Wyatt Drive, Geneva. Records to be destroyed:

Geneva School District 304 will destroy special education records from the 2003-04 school year of students who graduated, transferred or were dismissed from special services. If a parent or student wants those records, call the Student Services Office before Monday at (630) 463-3061. Copies of the rules and regulations that govern student records are available for inspection at each school site and at the district office.

Geneva Garden Club luncheon:

The Geneva Garden Club will kick off its new season with a salad luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Geneva History Center, 113 S.
