Why AARP supports health reform plan

If AARP supports the health program: it must be good for seniors. What would AARP have to gain by supporting a bad plan that would not give seniors the coverage they need/require?

That's simple. They sell supplemental insurance. So if seniors feel afraid because they are not covered by the new plan, AARP will sell you supplemental coverage; therefore the poorer the health reform bill is, the richer AARP will become.
