Arts panel needs help:

The Geneva Cultural Arts Commission has an opening on its nine-member board. It meets the first Thursday of each month and sponsors cultural art programs. Interested persons must live in Geneva and understand budget process and procedures. An application is available at geneva.il.us. Include a cover letter with a summary of skills and interests. Call Tim Vetang at (630) 232-4051 for more information. The deadline is Friday.

Animals to be blessed:

Animal lovers are invited to bring their dogs, cats and other pets to a "Blessing of the Beasts" worship service at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Fourth Street United Methodist Church, 551 S. Fourth St., Aurora. For details, call (630) 892-7202.

Motorcycles for Marklund:

Marklund is hosting a fundraising Motorcycle Run at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Mill Creek campus, 1S450 Wyatt Drive, Geneva. Cost is $15 per driver, $10 per passenger. Drivers must be at least 18. Dogs to help charity:

Bark for Life dog walk, to raise money for the American Cancer Society, is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sugar Grove Dog Park, Sugar Grove Sports Complex, 901 Wheeler Road. Cost is $25 in advance, $35 the day of the walk. To register, call (630) 879-9009 or visit barkforlifefoxvalley.com.

Stories at park:

Enjoy a night of songs, skits and stories by Andy Talley at the grand opening of George's Circle from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Peck Farm Park in Geneva. Reservations are required. Cost is $20 for resident families, $30 for others. The circle is an amphitheater built from stone from a barn on the site. Call Jennifer Schmidt at (630) 262-8244.

Community Chest golf outing:

Win $10,000 or a 42-inch high-definition television set at the Geneva Community Chest Golf Outing Monday at Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva.
