Semi driver injured in St. Charles crash
St. Charles police and rescue crews were on the scene of an accident with injuries this morning at East Main Street and Kautz Road, police officials said.
St, Charles Police spokesman Paul McCurtain said officials were called to the scene of the accident with injuries at 7:11 a.m. where a semi and a pickup truck collided.
McCurtain said there are injuries in the accident, though could not say who or how many injuries there are.
He said traffic was halted for more than an hour before the road opened just before 9 a.m. He said the road was closed while the accident was investigated and the semi was towed away from the scene.
He said police are still investigating the incident and details of the crash will not be released until later.
