Round Lake Beach man charged with gang graffiti
Thanks to a tip from residents, Round Lake Beach police officers arrested one of two suspects just after they had finished spray-painting property with gang graffiti.
Aaron Favela, of the 1600 block of Woodbine, Round Lake Beach, was charged with criminal defacement to property (vehicle) and six additional charges of criminal defacement to property and resisting a peace officer.
Residents had provided police with descriptions of the suspects after they were seen spray-painting property.
Favela, 22, was held in Lake County jail on $10,000 bond. His arrest resulted in the clearance of nine criminal defacement cases.
