No shows at county meet should be embarrassed

So, let us taxpayers get this straight. There was a Kane County Board meeting and a meeting of importance and four out of seven committee members are "no shows."

Board members who showed no responsibility to show up, according to the report in Daily Herald, were Jackie Tredup, Debbie Allan, Arlene Shoemaker and our own Mark Davoust of St. Charles.

Also the reports to be delivered to the board meeting for review were not even delivered, causing time delays in getting needed Kane County business done on time.

Now really, only in government, and I cannot imagine in private business, would a board meeting be scheduled and those who are paid by us taxpayers do not show up. Indeed how embarrassing the above mentioned members should feel. Not sure they do, but they should.
