Capture a moment of community in Algonquin

There is still time to submit your photos for the annual village of Algonquin photo contest.

This year's theme is "Exploring Algonquin" and will focus on photos that depict an involved community through public art, volunteerism, work, community events and those serving in community organizations within the village.

Last year's contest featured 19 photographers submitting more than 150 photos. Winners were recognized at a village committee of the whole meeting.

Applications are available at the village hall, 220 Harnish Drive, Algonquin, as well as online at algonquin.org.

All ages are welcome to participate and demonstrate your photographic talent. Selected photos will be used in publications, as well as be featured in the village's 2010 calendar.
