Wheaton Academy dedication
Wheaton Academy in West Chicago will dedicate $9 million worth of new athletic facilities Saturday in the form of the Heritage Field House, the Hanson-Lindop Memorial Atrium Building, and a renovated Warrior Dome. The ceremony is open to the public and begins at 10 a.m. at 900 Prince Crossing Road. The school broke ground on the Heritage Field House in May 2008. The building is roughly 38,000 square feet and houses practice courts, locker rooms, a fitness facility, classrooms and offices. The Hanson-Lindop Memorial Atrium Building and the renovation of the Warrior Dome, the Academy's pre-existing gym built in 1948, were completed this summer.
