InterContinental O'Hare seeks bankruptcy protection

The owner of the InterContinental Chicago O'Hare airport hotel, which boasts a contemporary art gallery with monthly exhibits and a full-time curator, filed for bankruptcy without giving a reason.

River Road Hotel Partners LLC, based in Oak Brook, listed assets of as much as $100 million and debt of as much as $500 million in Chapter 11 papers filed today in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Chicago.
