Quinn not saying what he'll do about trustees
Gov. Pat Quinn still isn't saying what exactly he will do if the six remaining University of Illinois trustees don't heed his call to resign.
Quinn first urged the trustees to voluntarily resign a week ago. A state panel recommended they step down amid allegations some pushed for less qualified students to be admitted to the school.
On Friday, Quinn described himself as a man of patience but not "infinite patience." He has said he would act with "finality" next week on issues regarding the board.
The Chicago Democrat says there's no question he can remove the trustees.
But he says he would prefer they voluntarily resign because it would be in the best interest of the state.
