Good market on a better day?

Could downtown Elgin's Harvest Market held on Thursdays during the summer months increase the number of customers or vendors by moving the market day to Saturday or Sunday?

I have been downtown on Thursdays during the past few years and have noticed the market should have more activity. It is a great idea and could include more of a variety of vendors, such as antiques, books, and specialty foods.
