Enjoy ice cream, learn about Geneva's history

The Geneva Public Library and the Geneva History Center hold a joint ice cream social from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 on the Kane County Court House lawn. The event, titled "We're Wild About Geneva," is free to all participants. Visitors will be invited to enjoy delicious ice cream from Graham's Fine Chocolates and Ice Cream, as well as partake in some wild activities.

Highlights include presentations by Willowbrook Wildlife Center about "Two Kane County Snakes You Should Know" at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., as well as face painting and balloon creatures courtesy of Around the Town Entertainment. Participants also may register for some fun prizes.
