Sky holds off Dream 82-80
ATLANTA - It usually is not easy, but the Chicago Sky continue to find ways to beat the Atlanta Dream.
Erin Thorn had a season-high 20 points, and the Sky recovered after losing a 16-point lead to beat Atlanta 82-80 on Saturday night, ending the Dream's franchise-record winning streak at four games.
Candice Dupree added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Sky.
The Dream began the night alone in third place in the Eastern Conference, but with the loss fell back into a tie with the Sky at 11-11. Connecticut (10-10) also is at .500 in the conference.
"It's going to go down to the wire," Sky coach Steve Key said about the playoff race. "Our biggest thing is we're trying to win all the head-to-head games."
Key can cross the Dream off the Sky's list of head-to-head conference matchups. The Sky completed its three-game sweep of the season series
