Real religion is inclusive

Cal Thomas has topped himself with his diatribe about real religion being exclusively exclusive. Jesus taught about welcoming all in the Kingdom of God. The doctrine of inclusivity isn't new as he dictates, but was written in the Old Testament when God made everything and it was good. I'm wondering what kind of faith he practices that accepts only those who agree with his assessment?

He castigates the Episcopal Church for its acceptance of those who God made differently from him and his ilk. He makes fun of former President Carter, who has done so much to care for those who have no homes, something Jesus talks about caring for the poor. His stand on pro-choice seems to me to be what Jesus would teach, caring for mothers who, for whatever reason, maybe no family planning available to them, are made to care for children they have, with probably no help from him.

It must be so soothing to be a male who feels he is superior to women, when Jesus mostly cared for women.

His idea of the church being a "beacon to a dark world" is certainly different from mine and may be one reason why church membership is declining. Contrary to what he states, I believe the church belongs in the world as that is where and what Jesus taught, to care for those whom society rejects.
