At a glance: The White Sox conclude their homestand after going a combined 5-2 against the Yankees and Angels. Carlos Torres is expected to come up from Class AAA Charlotte and start Saturday. Having traded Cliff Lee (Phillies), Victor Martinez (Red Sox), Ryan Garko (Giants) and Mark DeRosa (Cardinals), the Indians are playing for next season. But they just won 2 of 3 from the Twins and are 5-7 against the White Sox this season. Paul Konerko hit 3 HR and had 7 RBI in a 10-6 win over Cleveland at the Cell on July 7.
