Notre Dame looking to improve running game
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame will begin practice on Saturday looking to get a better 창€” a lot better 창€” at running the ball.
The Irish are coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons and have posted the three worst rushing seasons in school history. Coach Charlie Weis says one reason he expects the Irish to be better this season is experience. Four of last year's five starters are back.
But the depth chart released Friday by Weis had some changes. Trevor Robinson, who started three games as a freshman last year, is listed as the starter at right guard. Eric Olsen, a starter at left guard last season, is the starting center.
