Energy bill backers should be fired

The members of Congress who voted in favor of the recently passed energy bill did so after 300-plus pages of amendments were added at 3 a.m. They voted without reading any of the amendments. For Congress this is not unusual.

If this sort of thing happened in private business it would not be tolerated and those exhibiting such behavior would be fired. We should start demanding the same responsible behavior from our representatives that is expected of others.

U.S. Reps Mark Kirk and Melissa Bean voted for the bill. They were very irresponsible with your future and your money. I think they should be fired.
