Art for rock's sake

Classic-rock WDRV 97.1-FM holds a rock-art festival this weekend at Arlington Park. The artwork of various rock stars - from Ron Wood and Bob Dylan to Tony Bennett and John Mellencamp - will be featured and available for sale, along with animation cells from Ron Campbell, who worked on the Beatles' Saturday-morning cartoon and "Yellow Submarine" in the '60s.

The 97.1 the Drive Rock Art Show takes place from 11:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through Saturday in front of the Grand Staircase at Arlington Park, 2200 Euclid, Arlington Heights. The show is free with racetrack admission. For tickets, see tickets.arlington.com, or call (847) 385-7500 for details.
