Go green, save money with tips from ECCO

Elgin Climate Change Organization will have its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 28, at In The Neighborhood Deli, 185 N. Edison St. on Elgin's west side.

Come between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. and enjoy supper with them for only $5. The program starts at 7 p.m. with ECCO member Kathleen Haerr and her PowerPoint presentation on "Going Green."

Also, Eric Larsen will present his talk on how he and his family have already gone green throughout their house and saved lots of money. For details on ECCO, visit ecco-foxvalley.org.

On Saturday, Aug. 1, and Sunday, Aug. 2, at Elgin's FoxFire Fest, ECCO has joined in "Rain Barrels on Parade." See all the beautifully painted rain barrels and view the winners. You can even bid on one for yourself. For information, visit ecco-foxvalley.org.

Also at FoxFire Fest, visit "ECCO's Green Scene," a new addition to the kids zone at the fest.
