A motorcyclist remains in serious condition after crashing into a construction barrel on the Tri-State Tollway near the Edens Spur connection near Deerfield.
Adrian Grace, 36, of Skokie, had a blood-alcohol content of .21 when the crash happened Sunday at 8:17 p.m. in the southbound lanes, said Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Lance Powell. The legal limit in Illinois is .08.
The impact with the barrel caused Grace to fly off the motorcycle and onto the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet. He was transported in serious condition to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
