Scouting: United States vs. Honduras

When: 6 p.m. Thursday at Soldier Field, followed by Mexico vs. Costa Rica match

What: Gold Cup semifinals

TV: Fox Soccer Channel, TeleFutura

Scouting Honduras: Carlos Costly and Walter Martinez could be the men to watch up front. Honduras has played the United States well this summer in World Cup qualifying (also at Soldier Field) and two weeks ago in the Gold Cup first round. Expect a pro-Honduras crowd again.

Scouting the United States: Midfielder Kyle Beckerman has set the tempo for the United States in this tournament. He'll be asked to do so again, with the Fire's Logan Pause likely to back him up and provide him cover. Stuart Holden and Robbie Rogers round out the midfield and will be expected to pressure Honduras from the wings.

Next game: Championship game vs. Mexico/Costa Rica winner, Sunday at Giants Stadium
