Childbearing isn't cancer prevention
The letter from Karen Malec implied all women should reproduce to reduce their odds of developing breast cancer, hence, women should not take contraceptives, and abortion therefore contributes to this disease by terminating a pregnancy.
I think women make choices on whether on not to bear children on much more personal reasons than the threat of breast cancer, thank goodness.
This disingenuous way of thinking would make childbearing nothing more than a matter of self preservation. I myself will gladly support Susan G Komen Foundation and Planned Parenthood for the good work they promote for all women.
