More here than just controversial book?
Reader Sawicki recently took the Daily Herald to task for its defense of the First Amendment at Antioch High School. In her letter, and in support of her position, Ms. Sawicki quoted the director of the Illinois Family Institute's Division of School Advocacy. I wish to quote from the same source. IFI "... helps identify areas where the school curriculum strays from Biblical Truth..."
The same Web site rails against homosexuals, human secularism (whatever that is) and, oddly, a soft drink company that sponsors a popular animated television program. There seems to be more here than just a controversy over a book. Biblical Truth: whose bible? whose truth?
