Edit board sure likes to spend our money

The editorial board of the Daily Herald should just resign.

They endorse windmills that nobody wants but the government can impose on the hapless homeowner. They favor most school referendums despite the fact that teachers salaries and pensions keep rising and are way out of line while home values continue to fall. They endorse cap and trade, the so-called energy bill, which will lead to soaring electric bills, further adding to the cost of living of everyone, something we certainly don't need in a recession. And they mention nothing about skyrocketing sewer bills, once again imposed by our local government.

Clearly, the editorial board thinks homeowners print money in their basement if they need a little extra. With all these additional expenses, this recession is likely to last a very long time.

And God help this country if the Chinese ever decide not to buy our debt.
