Bulls re-sign Hunter

The Bulls officially re-signed veteran guard Lindsey Hunter on Wednesday. The 38-year-old rarely played after joining the team last Nov. 13, but the Bulls appreciated his guidance and leadership, especially when it came to rookie Derrick Rose.

Hunter will get the one-year veteran's minimum of $1.3 million. The Bulls now have 12 players under contract for next season.

The Bulls fell to 0-2 at the Las Vegas summer league after losing to Milwaukee 87-72 on Wednesday. Rookie forward James Johnson led the way with 16 points, but hit just 4-of-15 shots from the field. Taj Gibson and Demarcus Nelson added 12 points each for the Bulls, while Joe Alexander scored 18 points to lead the Bucks. Gibson has piled up 19 fouls in two summer games, where the foul-out rules are relaxed.
