Woman gets 8 years in 'meal ticket' murder
Chicago woman has been sentenced to eight years in prison for beating to death the lover the judge says was "manipulated" and treated like a "meal ticket."
Lisa Gunderson wept as Cook County Circuit Judge James Linn sentenced her to eight years in prison on involuntary manslaughter charges in the death of 51-year-old Barbara Wolf.
Prosecutors accused the 27-year-old Gunderson of shoving Wolf during an argument in August 2006, causing Wolfher to fall and strike her head on a dresser.
Gunderson and Wolf's spat turned physical after the two argued over Gunderson's alleged romantic involvement with a man.
