Aurora police looking for info on gas station incident
Aurora police are looking for a man caught on security camera breaking a gas station window after getting carded to buy cigarettes.
The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. June 28 at a west side gas station.
Police said offender, described as a black male about 5 feet 9 inches weighing 185 pounds, became upset with the gas station attendant after he was asked for identification when buying a pack of cigarettes.
The male stormed out of the business on the 900 block of West Illinois Avenue, and punched the front door, causing the glass to crack, officials said.
The incident cost the gas station about $1,000 in damage, officials said.
Following the incident, the suspect entered a blue SUV occupied by two females. The trio took off in an unknown direction, officials said.
