Fire's Blanco to play in MLS All-Star Game
Chicago Fire midfielder Cuauhtemoc Blanco will replace Toronto's Dwayne De Rosario in the MLS All-Star game later this month.
De Rosario, the game's MVP in 2006, was picked to start for the fourth consecutive season. Instead, he will join his Toronto teammates against the Puerto Rico Islanders in a CONCACAF game on July 29 -- the same day as the All-Star Game in Sandy, Utah.
Blanco was the All-Star game's MVP last year with a goal and assist.
