Power outage in Elgin:
About 1,800 ComEd customers on Elgin's west side were temporarily without power Monday night, officials said. Customers lost power around 4:43 p.m. Power was fully restored around 5:15 p.m., ComEd officials said. The outage stretched from Fletcher Drive to West Highland Avenue and from Clearwater Way to Randall Road, officials said.
