Join Habitat ReStore at Bandits game

It's finally summer! For many people this means baseball, hot dogs, fireworks and fundraisers. On Friday, July 17, you'll get to experience many of those joys of summer in one evening by joining Habitat ReStore at the Chicago Bandits game against the Venezuelan National Team while supporting a great cause.

Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley will receive a portion of the tickets sales to this event.

"Our goal is to sell as many tickets as possible, not only to raise funds for Habitat, but to also get as many Habitat ReStore devotees as possible to the game.

"We think it would be great fun for people who support Habitat and love to shop at ReStore to have a chance to hang out together and to also cheer on our local women's national pro fastpitch champions, the Chicago Bandits," said Jeremy Keen, ReStore director.

The Chicago Bandits play at Judson University fields, 1151 N. State St. (Route 31) in Elgin. On Friday, July 17, they will be playing against the Venezuela National Team at 7:05 p.m.

For details about tickets, call ReStore at (847) 742-9905 or stop by ReStore, 800 N. State St. in Elgin, during open hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Tickets are $8 each.

As if Habitat ReStore Day with the Chicago Bandits weren't enough, members of the Chicago Bandits are also volunteering their time to help build a home for Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley July 29.
