Heroes beacon of hope in murky times

I am moved to write to express my profound admiration and thanks for the actions of Scott Laine and Bob Jewell in saving the life of a man caught in a burning SUV on June 9.

The actions of these men should be an inspiration to us all. Not everybody is physically capable of their actions, and they certainly didn't stop to think the entire rescue out. They just pushed themselves physically and mentally and got the job done.

In these days of uncertain times, crooked politicians, rising prices and all the other bad news you can think of, these men are a beacon of hope that we are basically good and capable and made of the right stuff. May Lenzini Excavating and Waste Management take a moment to bask in the reflected glory of their employees' heroism.
