Huntley's 'Tip a Cop' to aid Special Olympics
Members of the Huntley Police Department will serve as waiters in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Illinois Special Olympics from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 11 at Culver's, 13240 Route 47 in Huntley. For the sixth year in a row, Culver's will host "Tip a Cop" in order to raise money and awareness for Illinois Special Olympics.
During "Tip a Cop," members of the police department and Special Olympic Athletes will act as waiters and receive donations for Special Olympics. Illinois Torch Run merchandise including hat, shirts and pins also will be available during this event.
Special Olympics is a nonprofit organization providing year-round sports training and competition to nearly 22,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Illinois. For information, call Sergeant Amy Williams at (847) 515-5311.
