Crash snarls traffic on I-88 near Oak Brook

A one-car crash snarled traffic on eastbound I-88 Wednesday evening near Oak Brook.

A Volkswagen exiting the tollway onto southbound Route 83 struck a light pole just after 5 p.m., according to Illinois State Police Sgt. Thomas Gartner.

No one was injured in the crash but the pole was knocked to the ground and wires were exposed.

Gartner said all lanes are currently open.
