Losing the training wheels
For most children, learning to ride a bike is a rite of passage toward independence. For children with special needs, mastering a two-wheeler often comes with much more difficulty. This summer, they can gain some help with a Lose the Training Wheels program that Easter Seals DuPage and Fox Valley Region will offer July 13 to 17. The program is geared toward children with special needs such as Down syndrome, mild cerebral palsy and sensory integration challenges. Call (630) 620-4433 or go to eastersealsdfvr.org.
