Use same rules for liberals, conservatives

I can't believe what I hear on TV these days. How low can David Letterman get to make such crass comments about a family member of Sarah Palin's family. Had he made that comment about the older daughter, it would have been just as bad. He must be running out of material if he has to stoop so low.

He would never had made such a comment about Obama's wife or Chelsea Clinton. As President Obama said, family is off limits. They listened to him on his family, but not on Sarah or others. Then I hear other pundits comment that it is all right because the older daughter had a baby out of wedlock. I think Mr. Letterman's wife lived with him for years before they married. Is she fair game?

Where is our sense of decency in America. Why is David Letterman any different. The shame of it is all of the people in his audience laughed. Would they have laughed if he said it about their family members?

Unfortunately, politics has been brought into everything. It is anything goes if the person is a conservative.

Come on people, its time for us to put a stop to this kind of nonsense and say enough is enough. I think it's time for the network to say goodbye to Letterman and let him take that kind of humor to the bathroom where it belongs. He must be running out of decent material.
