Bank provides home buying tips
Fifth Third Bank is launching a program to help provide people with information about how to own a home. Fifth Third's Homeownership Mobile, a 40-foot bus that doubles as a mobile classroom, is touring the area.
Employees provide credit counseling, financial literacy, homeownership assistance and foreclosure prevention tools. The bus will make about 10 stops including one in Aurora from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., July 11 at Everlasting Word Church, 22 N. Highland Ave., Aurora.
The electronically-retrofitted vehicle allows visitors to board at no financial cost and receive several free services, including a free credit report, money management and budgeting information, a personalized evaluation of fiances, submission of mortgage loan applications an opportunity to open a checking or savings account and information on fraud awareness and prevention.
