Northrop celebrates 'America Day'

Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic music, speeches and a barbecue Wednesday at Northrop Grumman Corporation's Electronic Systems Sector in Rolling Meadows.

The annual America Day event particularly honored Northrop employees who are in the U.S. military and those who have family members serving.

Speakers included Major General Patrick Moiso, deputy director of the Air National Guard; and Nick Jordan, district director for U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean.

The defense contractor decorated the area with balloons, flags and other touches of red, white and blue.
