Breast Cancer Support Hour: The next meeting of the Breast Cancer Support Hour will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, in the National City Bank Community Room. The group will continue its discussion and planning for the 5K Cancer Walk on Sept. 26.
New policy for attending meetings states that all current members call hostesses Dolores Kniola at (847) 515-7143 or Corene Stahnke at (847) 515-7800 only if unable to attend.
This group meets the first Wednesday of every month and is open to all breast cancer survivors who are residents of Sun City.

Neighborhood 11: Join your Neighborhood 11 neighbors and friends for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, food, games and prizes at the annual picnic from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Sun City Pavilion.
They are having a potluck picnic again this year; bring your favorite dish or dessert to share along with a serving utensil. Bring a nonalcoholic beverage of your choice and a tablecloth (optional) for your table. Chicken will be provided starting at 1 p.m.
The pavilion seats 65 people, so additional chairs and tables may be needed depending on attendance. The cost is $5 per person and can be paid by check to Neighborhood 11 or cash. Payment needs to be made by July 1. You can give the money to your block captain or the chairmen of the picnic.

Neighborhood 33 Women's Group: On Tuesday, July 14, the Women's Group in N33 will lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Checkers Restaurant in Union and then will visit the McHenry County Historical Society at 1:15 p.m. They will take a visual and interactive trip back in time to the 1890s and meet the Patrick family and their servants, view their lifestyles, look at life in Marengo a century ago, and take a trip to the World's Columbian Exposition. Scandinavian American Club: The club will host a Pie Fest from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Meadow View Lodge. Sun City resident Gunnar Hanson will entertain on the Hawaiian guitar. Pie and beverage will be provided free to members. Cost to nonmembers is $3. Call Adele Wogstad at (847) 515-1627 by July 14 for reservations.
Cribbage: On June 17, Pete Moseler took first place with a perfect score of 484 points. David Petty placed second with a score of 478 points. High individual hands were posted by Tom Fleming 24, Sandi Mis 22, Moseler 21, Carol Charpentier (2), Harry Anderle, Petty 20. There were six skunks.
On June 24, Jim Pfotenhauer took first place with a score of 481 points. Second place was won by David Petty with a score of 480 points. High individual hands were posted by Wally Bartels 24, 20, Bob Ferraris 24, Carol Charpentier, Harry Anderle 20. There were four skunks.
