Obama should not have to drive compact
This letter is in regard to the gentleman from Batavia who wrote June 12 stating Obama should drive a compact car if I must.
You're not talking about a regular man, this is the President of the United States. I think the President deserves to ride in class, no matter what the vehicle is.
Look at all he has to worry about: unemployment, gasoline, the war, and his own family. Why should he not get treated different, if a person worked for a company for many years they would also get special privileges - right? So why shouldn't he or any other president?
I would not want to be in his shoes; and if anyone else were, would you not think you deserve something in return? Sure he gets paid well, but look at his job. This man has many things on his plate and he cannot fix this in a short period of time.
Sometimes we become jealous of others, and that's terrible. Don't you or anyone else think you should get more perks working for a company after you have been there a while than a new employee?
Sorry, but this is my opinion and I respect what the President's lifestyle is.
