Batavian receives scholarship

Benjamin Isacksen recently was awarded a scholarship from the Peg Bond Scholarship Fund, which is administered by the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.

This scholarship is available to students who reside in the city of Batavia or Batavia Unit District 101 and who will attend college on a full-time basis. Awards are based on academic ability and may be renewed for up to four years.

Students receiving the Peg Bond Scholarship must study in the field of visual or performing arts. In addition, students must demonstrate a history of community service.

Isacksen will attend Drake University and will major in Graphic Design.
