Dental clinic grand opening:
Cutting a blue ribbon decorated with dental floss, College of Lake County trustees Tuesday night officially dedicated a new dental hygiene clinic, created as the result of a nearly $2 million remodeling project at the 111 N. Genesee St. building on the Lakeshore Campus in Waukegan. The new clinic replaces a temporary facility 1 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. CLC board Chairman Philip Carrigan praised the remodeling project as providing an "unparalleled facility" offering an important community resource through its low-cost dental hygiene services. The new 10,000-square-foot clinic serves as a modern, well-equipped learning laboratory for students in CLC's dental hygiene program. The new clinic has 12 dental chairs for patient treatment and four chairs in the radiology and dental materials.
