Photos of stillborns helpful for grieving

I wanted to tell you that the recent article on parents holding their stillborn infants was very tender and well done. A really good thing!

We had a stillborn child on May 4, 1966. It was a very different time. A nurse asked me if I wanted to see him; of course, I did. He looked just like my other newborn babies. Later, my husband said he had not seen the baby - who knew?

Today things would be very different, since we have learned so much more about grief and healing. What a great opportunity for grieving parents to be able to hold their baby and have pictures. I would encourage anyone in this situation to consider holding their baby. Wish I had ...
