5-6:30 p.m. Hockey skills, on the tennis courts, for children and adults of all ages. No blades.
5:30-8 p.m. Dog Frisbee Catch & Fetch, in the outfield. Register 5:30-6pm; competition at 6:15 p.m. (847) 577-3000.
6:30-9:30 p.m. Stage West: Battle of the Bands, teen rock. To enter, call the Teen Center at (847) 577-5394.
7:45 p.m. Main Stage: Opening ceremonies.
8 p.m. Main Stage: Kentucky Headhunters (country/rock).
9:15-10:45 p.m. Frontier Stage: Heartache Tonight (Eagles covers).

5 p.m.-midnight. Bargain carnival rides (sales end at 11 p.m.)
5-6:30 p.m. Baseball/softball skills. Pitching speed, base running, and hitting contest for children ages 6-12. At baseball diamond west of Hickory Street.
6-7 p.m. Stage West: Teen Band Night
8 p.m. Main stage: Blues Traveler (Rock band with blues influences).
9:15-11:45 p.m. Frontier stage: ARRA (Rock band covering Journey, Boston, Styx, more).
Midnight. Park closes.
FRIDAY, JULY 3 (Noon-midnight)

10 a.m. Bike rally, all ages. Meet near the playground in Recreation Park.
10 a.m.-1 p.m. Citizens with Disabilities Day. Register at Frontier Store at 9:30 a.m. Carnival rides 10-11:30 a.m. Entertainment starting at 11 a.m. at Frontier Stage. Lunch, 11:30 a.m. at the Frontier Stage.
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Teen volleyball tournament, ages 13-18, on outfield by Main Stage.

10 a.m. Fourth of July parade, "Land of Lincoln: 200 years of Pioneer Spirit." Steps off at Oakton and Dunton, ends at Recreation Park.
10 a.m. Decorated bike parade. Check in with parade marshal at Oakton and Highland; parade ends at Hickory. Open to ages 4 and older. No Big Wheels.
10 a.m.-6 p.m. Arts and crafts marketplace.
Noon-3 p.m. Decorated chair competition. Bring decorated chair to circle drive near Belmont and Miner streets. Judging at 2 p.m. (847) 368-5232
Noon-3 p.m. Pioneer craft exhibit, west side of pool.

7:30 a.m. Frontier Days Stampede Run. Choose between the 5K or 10K run, a 5K Fitness Walk, or a quarter-mile Kids Dash. Entry forms at Arlington Heights Park District locations, Runners High 'N Tri and www.frontierdays.org.
