• July 4th parade: Stepoff is 10 a.m. July 4 from Dunton and Oakton streets. Parade goes south on Dunton to Miner; east to Recreation Park. Theme: "Land of Lincoln: 200 Years of Pioneer Spirit."

• Frontier Days Stampede and Kids Dash: July 5 at Minert School, 1101 E. Miner St. 5K and 10K races start at 7:30 a.m.; 5K fitness walk starts at 7:35 a.m. Quarter-mile kids dash starts around 9 a.m. at Recreation Park. www.frontierdays.org.
