Don't forget the lives Tiller took
Vladimir Lenin once said, "the loss of one life is a tragedy, the loss of thousands a statistic." This applies to the murder of abortionist George Tiller. Tiller's specialty was ending the lives of children soon to be born. Children in, and partially out of their mother's womb. In Tiller's case, over 60,000.
It should also be pointed out that his practice provided him with an income of over $1 million a year.
None of this justifies the murder of George Tiller. Violence, which begets more violence, is always wrong. All life is sacred.
What is equally disturbing to me is the effort by the usual suspects such as Planned Parenthood and NARAL to almost canonize Tiller.
We also saw the female minister of the Lutheran Church Tiller attended, as well as some of her parishioners, call George Tiller "a good Christian." This about a person who has disregarded the Lord's clear commandment, "Thou shalt not kill." To those who respond in this manner, Isaias 5:20 applies; Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil: "that put darkness for light, and light for darkness."
In simplest terms, George Tiller was a hired killer. In his regard, it is hard not to think of the message from Matthew 26:52, "those who live by the sword, will die by the sword."
The murder of abortionist Tiller was wrong, as all violence is wrong, but do not forget the 60,000 innocent and defenseless children whose lives he chose to take. All life is sacred. Almighty God alone its author, and the one who will decide when our earthly life is over. To do otherwise would be hypocritical and not consistent. It is as simple as that.
