Chicago Fire vs. San Luis FC, 7 p.m. at Toyota Park

What: The Fire is competing for the first time in the SuperLiga tournament, which this year pits U.S. clubs and Mexican clubs. This match begins the first round of play in a round-robin format. It's the tournament's third year in existence.

The opponent: San Luis FC (Los Gladiators) missed out on its league's playoffs with a 4-8-5 record. They are coached by Juan Antonio Luna and feature defender Michael Orozco, a teammate of Fire forward Brian McBride on the 2008 U.S. Olympic team.

Fire update: A team in need of a win. The Fire hasn't won since May 28, dropping MLS matches to Dallas, Houston and D.C. United, but the club remains in second place in the Eastern Division with 21 points and a 5-3-6 record.
