WBBM-AM news radio temporarily loses power

News radio station WBBM-AM (780) was temporarily knocked off the air early Friday afternoon by a power loss at its Itasca transmitter.

Director of News and Programming Ron Gleason said the power loss occurred just after noon and service was restored about a half hour later. He did not know the details behind the cause of power loss, which occurred in the midst of heavy storms in the region.
