"The Jack Lemmon Film Collection"
Jack Lemmon was one of the most beloved actors of all time. Audiences could identify with him as an everyday man, though his talent was quite evident in his ability to easily go from comedy to drama in an instant. He appeared in more than 60 films and was nominated for eight Academy Awards, taking home the Best Actor trophy twice.
Comedy was his forte, and he teamed with Walter Matthau for 11 films, and Billy Wilder for six.
There are five films in this new DVD collection, along with bonus material. The films are: "Phfft" with Judy Holliday, Kim Novak and Jack Carson; "The Notorious Landlady" with Novak and Fred Astaire; "Operation Mad Ball" with Ernie Kovacs and Mickey Rooney; "Under The Yum Yum Tree" with Imogene Coco, Edie Adams, Paul Lynde, Carol Lynley and Dean Jones; and "Good Neighbor Sam" with Romy Schneider, Dorothy Provine and Edward G. Robinson.
His son Chris Lemmon hosts a two-part documentary featuring new interviews, along with a Ford Theater episode.

"Chess in Concert"
This terrific musical - written by Abba's Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus with lyrics by Tim Rice - was filmed at London's Royal Albert Hall in May 2008. The story centers on a World Chess Championship that pits the Russian and American competitors and the woman who manages one and falls in love with the other.
Josh Groban stars as the Russian chess champion and shines with the song "Anthem."
The costumes and acting add to the realistic feel of the musical along with the 50-piece City of London Philharmonic and the 100-voice West End Chorus. The other members of the glorious cast include Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal, Kerry Ellis, David Bedella and Clarke Peters. There are many shining moments in this musical, and fans will enjoy "I Know Him So Well" and "One Night in Bangkok."
"James Taylor: One Man Band"
This is James Taylor at his best in a very special concert that was filmed at the restored Colonial Theater in Pittsfield, Mass. Most of the concert features Taylor on guitar accompanied by a piano except a couple with a chorus and a drum machine. James Taylor uses home movies, photographs, touching reflections and anecdotes to capture a feeling that his fans will never forget.
The songs include: "You've Got a Friend," "Carolina In My Mind," "Something In the Way She Moves," "County Road" "Fire and Rain" and many more.
